"In Queensland we're really lucky with our great climate. However in summer most of our domestic dwellings can be hazardous to our health.
They are uninsulated and can cause you to experience heat related illnesses. A large number of older cottages have a low pitch and no manhole access. As our family lives in one of these older stock cottages we were desperate to get it live-able in summer. The super 6 roof was radiating heat directly into our bodies. We had to make a choice between demolition or re-roofing. Both are expensive options.
Peter and Phil teamed up to create a "cando" solution for us using the pumped in cellulose based fill. They worked with us and then got stuck in as soon as they could schedule it. We can now say we are living in a comfortable old school QLD cottage without the expense or enormous hassle of extensive roof/ceiling renovations.
